Building an evidence-based study system means combining encoding depth, spacing, retrieval practice, interference management, sleep, and arousal into one plan and discarding what the evidence does not support.

Show

One semester planned end to end: which material gets semantic encoding, how sessions are spaced across weeks, where retrieval practice replaces review, how similar subjects are separated to limit interference, where sleep is protected as consolidation time, and what arousal level the exam itself calls for. Includes the two popular study practices dropped from the plan and the evidence for dropping each.
